Originally created for former Navy SEAL and Medford friend Craig "Sawman" Sawyer, this fixed blade beast is an amazingly lightweight easy-carry multipurpose knife. An aggressive double row of alternate-staggered teeth on the back edge of the blade makes for an awesome operator's knife. This hybrid drop point American-style bellied tanto has a flat-ground nose, a hollow-ground main edge, hollowed out handles for different wrench sizes & improvisational grabbing uses, and a crowbar at the end. The aeronautics-inspired lightening groove on the blade combined with the skeletonized handle allow for an extremely lightweight tool without compromising the strength of the design. While the Sawnto's complex design requires challenging machine and hand work, it maintains a simple, primitive and elegant simplicity. Functionality, originality, comfort, and useful "coolness" are what this knife is all about.
